Welcome to the Montrose Jazz Festival, the home of live music in the Northern Los Angeles area. We are acommunity-focused platform for musicians to promote their work, both online and at live events (when health restrictions allow), in a supportive, inclusive space. Our mission is to influence the discovery and celebration of live jazz performance and to promote music education through community engagement anchored by a renowned jazz festival in Montrose, California.
Our YouTube Channel provides an outlet for performers to share their work with a wider audience, and to share their creative talents in an inclusive, welcoming space.
Our Calendar of Events is a great resource for live music enthusiasts to keep up with the thriving live music community venues re-open and host sustainable events with increasing capacity as pandemic restrictions are lifted.
Magnificent Montrose!
Nestled in the foothills of the Verdugo Mountains, the Montrose community is known for its charm and its welcoming people, its clean air and fragrant breezes. Originally inhabited by the Tongva people, the modern town of Montrose was established in 1913. Although it was badly damaged in the great floods of 1933, through the years the people have adapted to changing times and the community has bounced back each and every time, and the pioneer spirit lives in the diverse and culturally sophisticated community that has thrived in this “small town with a big heart”.
